2010

April 21: Free Matthew McCabe.

April 21, 2009. Sure "Big Brother" is becoming involved in all of our lives? Having interferred with what New Yorkers can eat on certain days, etc., the Federal Government wants to force food manufacturers to reduce the salt content in its products. First, processed food tastes better with lots of salt. Second, the food lasts lonfer. Buuuuutt . . . have you ever read the labeling on the packages of food you buy? When do they start to add a little beef or broccoli to the packaged salt lick they are selling?

High salt levels are the prime cause of high blood pressure (and please, spare me the kneejerk " but some people's blood pressure goes down" crap), and high blood pressure is the number one cause of stroke and death in senior citizens. I side with big brother (as does my cardiologist). Reduce the salt content and I can add my own and eat the food sooner (my freezer is chronically overstuffed anyway)

April 21. 2009: Hold on - this just coming in from FoxNews: U.S. Official: Military strike against Iran "Off The Table." Greeeeeeatt. Just when the Iranians needed even more encouragement.

April 21 (a busy day and it's not even 11:00): People polled (Rasmassun) about  pending Arizona Law allowing police to stop someone for the purpose of determining their citizenship say (53%) that it could be a civil rights problem. The same people, by the way, say (71%) that they favor the Law. A California activist says the Law is comparable to the Nazi's. Hmmm - may have a point viz Jews. Will police stop "Mexican-looking" people or those speaking foreign languages? Of course they will. If one is challenged, will he be inconvenienved having to prove he is here illegally? Yup.

Is there ever a trade off against this kind of invasion of privacy? Well, ask that Arizona Rancher who was murdered by an illegal. Ask all of the othe citizens killed. Ask all Arizonians who live in fear of violence caused by these invaders. Ask John McCain if we still have no heart if we oppose these illegals being here.

April 20, 2010: 5 years - that's how long experts predict it will take Iran to develope a missile that can hit the U.S. I see. By then they will have a Nuclear Bomb AND a delivery system to hit us with it. Great - just keep talking to them Mr. Obama. Turn on the ubiquitous charm.Give some more of those trash-talkin' speeches against the "right-wingers" and the Tea PArty people -  that stand up comedy id SOOOO Prsidential, and I'm sure the Iranians are chuckling.

Today on TV, a top commander says we have ample proof that the Iranians are making the weaponry that is killing American Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan - so let them have the ICBM's. What's the worry.

Keep talking, Mr. President.

April 20, 2009. Yessiree (Umm . . .as my Grandfather used to say) those old Republican and their greedy 'friends' on Wall Street caused the current economic collapse. How inconvenient that

April 19, 2010: Yet again, a leading politician makes me ashamed to be a registered Democrat. On the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma Bombing (17th anniversary of the WACO massacre, ex-president, Bill Clinton justifies his actions in the death of dozens at Waco, by warning us all that while protests are a good thing (If it's liberal  protests, he means) they can get out of hand. You know, like that old right winger Timothy McVeigh got out of hand in Oklahoma City.

First, jerk, Timothy McVeigh was a registered Democrat. DId you know that? Second, philanderer, Timothy McVeigh, himself doean't blame right-wingers for his actions. He blames YOU, and Janet Reno. Why, because you had an Army Tank run into a building that had 28 children inside - and those kids died. Were the kids "RIGHT-WINGERS"? And am I a right-winger who should be silenced if I say that when our elected officials (YOU) order a tank to attack 28 kids it's  just plain wrong?

You prick.

April 13, 2010: Bill O'Reilly to the Defense !! Charge !! In an interview with Oklahoma Senator (Dr.) Tom Cobourn, O'Reilly chastised the Senator for comments he (Cobourn, not O'Reilly) made in an interview wherein Cobourn warned his listeners not to take what news stations like Fox and CNN say as necessarily the truth. Citing Fox as example, Cobourn denounced a Fox commentator for claiming on-air that the proposed (2,700 page) healthcare bill provided for sending people to prison if they did not purchase health insurance. In defense of the network that makes him rich (ok, that's smarmy), O'Reilly challenged Senator Cobourn to prove that ANYONE on Fox had ever stated that on the air. The Senator could not back up his claim.

I CAN and I DID (click here).

April 11, 2010: President Obama no longer will call the war on terrorism a war on Islamic Extremism. Really, I see his point. Words matter, and El Jazeera pumps these words to the entire Islamic World, and non extremist Muslims certainly can draw the wrong conclusions from our rhetoric.

But the President is wrong. The war against Islamic Extremists didn't begin with Sept. 11 (as Chris Wallace said today on FoxNews Sunday) It began with the taking of American Embassy employees (some of whom actually weren't CIA Agents) by Iran in 1979, or the Khobar Tower bombing-killing of 243 U.S. Marines in Saudi Arabia; or the bombing of U.S. Embassies in Kenya and (whereever); Or the U.S.S. Cole bombing, or the torture-killing of William Buckley by the grinning Iranians; etc. (or the conquering of Constantinople in 1453 by Mahomet II - but I digress). And did ANY of these "moderate" Muslims take offense at the actions of a few "radical muslims?" Not that I recall.

Did "moderate Muslims" protest when one of their own gunned down so many soldiers at Ft. Hood; or killed military recruiters in ST. Louis; or when a muslim nitwit tried to kill scores over Detroit on Christmas Day? Nope nary a word. Of course the usual anti-American groups, like CAIR, sent their paid minions onto the talkshows to explain they're side (" of course we're appalled"), but none that I saw have decried these events. NONE.

When the attacks occurred on Sept. 11, 2001, I might remind you, Palestinians, Jordanians (mostly Jordanian-Palestinians), Iranians, Iraqis, Hess Gas Station owners, Ivy League professors and others cheered, but none denounced the murder of nearly 3,000 American men women and children.  I have written on this site as far back as 2007 that radical or not I think that there are a few million radical islamists directly involved in terrorist activities; and that several million more (including many in the U,S,) who are eager to particioate with them, there are precious few among the billions of Muslims around the world who actually are rooting for the U.S. to emerge victorious in the war against Islam.

Remember which country you are working for, Mr. President.

April 3, 2010: Bet you believed those media reports that Congress extended unemployment benefits for the long-term unemployed until the end of the year. I know a lot of long-termed unemployed did. This week, those people will receive a notice in the mail that their benefits ran out. Imagine, all of you Progressive Congressmen, how those people felt when it dawned on them that they couldn't buy groceries that week, while you enjoyed steak and lobster back home on vacation.

They're all Jim Bunning.

Of course as that talk-babe on the Fox News panel (Full disclosure - my husband works for Mitt Romney) says " my sources (Mitt "Trustfund" Romney ?), tell me people on unemployment wait until their benefits run out to look for a job." So I guess all those lazy old unemployed will go out now and snap up one of those many jobs just waiting for them to get off their butts to apply for.

How is it that Progressives AND Conservatives alike are so screwed up on the same issue? At least the Progressives know and observe their limitations when they tell you that unemployment will remain at around 10% for years to come.

March 15, 2010:  Court ruling gives the go ahead to place windmills off Mahthah's Vintahd to generate non-polluting energy, after years of legal roadblocks put up by rich hypocritical liberals who say "Not in my back yard." 15, 2010:  Court ruling gives the go ahead to place windmills off Mahthah's Vintahd to generate non-polluting energy, after years of legal roadblocks put up by rich hypocritical liberals who say "Not in my back yard.

March, 2010: The Obamacare bill has passed. And it's revenue neutral - actually it even will save money. Does ANYONE actually believe this? Here's the scenario (and you can take this to the bank): Today's educated but ignorant young college graduates, who blindly drank the Obama Kool Aid, and supported him, in spite of the fact that he has no experience at anything, nor has ever held a real job, will now find out that good jobs are not waiting for them upon graduation. Additionally, it soon will become apparent from the increased deduction taken from their Wal-Mart and Burger King paychecks, that it's NOT ONLY the rich who are paying for all these goofy programs, but also they.

No recession since the Great Depression has lasted more than 18 months. This one is going on two years now, with no end in sight. By Obama's own admission, unemployment will remain in the 9% neighborhood for years.

February 22, 2010: One of the character flaws most prevelant in the mind of criminals, is the thought (instead of lawyering up, and remaining silent) that they are smart enough to concoct some B.S. story to explain their way out of prosecution for crimes they obviously committed. Which brings us to the so-called "bipartisan meeting" concocted by President Obama with the Republican leadership this week. To prove the certainty of my belief that the ONLY reason Mr. Obama is doing this is to get public sentiment to turn against the Republicans and to rescue this dreadful, failed legislation, today the President announced (after the morning editions had already gone to press) that the startin point of any discussions  would begin with the Senate version of the Healthcare Bill.

No compromise; no tort reform; no Republican anything. Mr. Obama and the rest of the Healthcare cabal hope to drop some minor detail of the bill (which they easily can restore after it's passed), to entice a weak-minded Republican (can you say Olympia Snowe?) to change a vote - and voila, that stupid bill passes and to hell with the wishes of us dumb ole American People. And there's those idiot Republicans, just like the too-smart criminal mind, walking right into it.

Party first.

February 22, 2010: Bill Richardson - Come On Down ! ! The state governors met with President Obama today, and according to one of them, Bill Richardson, they thanked the President for providing Federal funds for jobs in their states (Average cost-per-job, $381,000). It reminds me of the movies in the 50's where the Dalton and Younger Brothers thank Jesse James for splitting the train-robbery loot just before they split up (to meet next month in Dodge).

February 21, 2010: Jennifer Granholm, caretaker of the People's Republic of Michigan, on the Fox News Sunday says, in ducking whatever question was asked, that it is arrogant of us (We Americans who think the Dem Healthcare Bill sucks) to oppose any further discussion of the Bill.  Yup, we arrogant people who don't do as we are told by those oh so smart Progressives, who REALLY know what's good for us. We have spoken, Jenny, and we don't want your programs, our arrogance notwithstanding. When you are retired Dec. 31, please reflect on the mess you and your Progressives have made of a once beautiful and prosperous state.

February 15, 2010:  Pakistani And American militery/intelligence captured the (aptly named) # 2 Al Qaeda guy in Karachi. Reports say they got him several days ago, and he is giving up information. I'll bet. "All right, where is Sheik Omar?" "I'm not sayin' anything. I know my rights. Call the ACLU; call Eric, call glub  . . .glub . . . er, he's in Minneapolis."

January 30, 2010: This just in. Attorney General Eric (The Red) Holder was spotted at Sears in Germantown shopping for wigs. Anyone who can confirm that sighting, call John Walsh.

January 28, 2010: Now several "moderate" Democratic Congressmen, and "moderate" "Republican" Bloomburg are calling for the removal of terrorist trials from New York City, on the newly-discovered grounds that prosecution there would be prohibitively expensive. Funny isn't it ? Before the Massachusetts Senatorial Election, no one was concerned about 'expensive.'

January 22, 2010: If anyone knows of the whereabouts of  Attorney General Eric Holders , Contact John Walsh.

January 20, 2010: One small step for Conservatism, one giant leap for personkind.

January 19, 2010: Massachusetts: The future of the Republic and that of the entire FREE WORLD hangs on the campaign aspirations of one Scott Brown today. Get out and vote. This is STEP ONE in the campaign to throw all of them out. Tay tuned.

January 14, 2010: As much as I respect and value the thoughts of (syndicated columnist) Charles Krauthammer, when he warns on Foxnews that the biggest danger in Haiti is protecting American emergency workers and soldiers from rioting Haitians, I have to wonder with what he sloshed down his dinner. With all due respect (and he has earned plenty), were you under the impression that this deadly earthquake happened in Somalia?

January 11, 2010: Headline: " Al Quida (sic), Yemen talks are possible." Straight from the Obama/ Napolitano playbook. I feel so much better. How about you?

January 10, 2010: Negro, Harry ? Why does an alleged hip electorate keep sending this dinosaur to Washington? Hey, Jack Reed, go back to Delaware and play back the video of your pathetic defense of Harry Reid over and over. Then put a bullet into what you probably call a brain.

January 9, 2010: In a rare moment of clarity, California Attorney General says we need real generals to run such as Homeland Security.

January 9, 2010: Grad Student is tracked down by crack Homeland Security and F.B.I. agents and arrested. Politicos and Gerardo Rivera say hang him. Lighten up.

January 4, 2010: Grad student at Rutgers ducks under barricade to kiss his departing girlfriend goodbye, and the whole airport is shut down.

December 25, 2009: A Nigerian citizen, already on a list of possible terrorists, gets on board a plane in Amsterdam with a bomb in his drawers and tries to blow the plane and 287 passengers up over a populated Detroit. The moron doesn't exactly detonate the bomb, but manages to set himself and his seat on fire before a fellow passenger (who never went to an Ivy League school and doesn't understand the   ------------ against profiling) jumps his flaming ass.

Then, help me out here:

The FBI turns this guy over to local authorities?

While admitting that the terrorist IS talking, The Justice Department IMMEDIATELY charges him as a criminal?

The Justice Department IMMEDIATELY lawyers this jerk up, and the terrorist stops talking?

Janet Napolitano IMMEDIATELY describes the terrorist as having acted alone?

NBC describes (January 3) the terrorist as "alleged terrorist?"

FOX News continues to charactarize  the terrorist's acts as " Failed bombing attempt?"

Earth to all of you dumbasses: This was NOT a FAILED ATTEMPT - it was successful (He got the bomb past our trillion dollar security system and on board an airplane) as was the attack at Fort Hood. These are the first two successful terrorist attacks in the U.S. in eight years - both on Barack Obama's watch.

Waterboarding? Oh, No. As Shepard Smith screamed on air: "We don't f ------ing torture."

If this f ------- ing administration does not get its head out of its f - - - ing head out of their asses and start getting serious about terrorism, then sooner rather than later, a third successful terrorist attack will result in a lot of dead Americans. What then? Another review (after eight years) of what went wrong?

Hey Shep . . .let's say we capture a terrorist an hour after he planted a nuclear bomb somewhere in Chicago - set to go off two hours later. Does Shepard Smith put a wet rag over his face, and save 4 million American women and children? Or does Shepard Smith read him his f . . . . .ng rights?

Our enemy is radical Islam: Profile Islamic travellers; severely restrict Islamic people from coming to this country; kick the Iranian "Students" out of our taxpayer-funded colleges, and send them home; and revoke passports, visas, and work permits to those of Islam who seek to bring this country down. If they don't like our way of life -  they can leave.

Dec. 21, 2009: Headlines: Brittany  Murphy dead at 32. Officials say she died from natural causes. Sometimes Americans would as soon that our "officials" would just shut the hell up. My guess is either Anorexia or Cocaine. I hope I'm wrong, but 'natural causes' at 32?

Dec 18, 2009: I hope the Senior Citizens remember you on Election Day, Ben Nelson.

Dec. 15, 2009: Wow ! President glib sure sounds a . . ah . . a lot . . . a . . .  less . . . ummm . . . glib, when he isn't . . um . . you know . . . gonna have a . . . a . . . um telepromptor to read from, doesn't he?

Dec 13, 2009: The Senate is now contemplating passing the Healthcare Bill WITHOUT a provision for taxpayer-paid Abortions. Why ? They can pass the Healthcare Bill; a year later they introduce a bill to fund abortions; several Republicans who believe in abortions vote for the bill - that's it.

December 11, 2009: How come we haven't seen the (usually) ubiquitous Attorney General Eric Holders' weasel face on the small screen lately?

Dec. 3, 2009: This from my exclusive eye witness should clear it up concerning Tiger Wood's "accident." My source saw it all and gives this account: A bloodied Tiger sprints out of his driveway in his Escalade with his hottie wife, in curlers, in  pursuit on foot. Tiger roars into a fire hydrant, and his Escalade purrrrs to a stop in the middle of a scrub oak tree. Hottie runs to the stalled SUV and a terrified Tiger locks the doors, whimpering like a kitten.

Hottie raises the hybrid club she had gathered from his closet and prepares to put some stripes on Tiger's head. "No, no," shouts the trapped tiger, "keep your head down, your left arm straight, and your eye on the ball." Hottie took the advice and that's why we discovered Tiger doubled up and unconscious on the ground.

I hope this clears it all up.

Dec. 1, 2009: In 1962 the Defense Budget was 14% of the GDP. Today, with two wars, the Defense Budget Dec.is 4.9% of GDP. Can you say Carter and Clinton?

November 30, 2009: In case you think that the Obama Administration isn't in bed with the phoney data created by the Global Warming crowd, we caught on today with the White House Press Secretary's talking over reporter's question about recent fudged scientific data, when he averred: there's plenty of data that supports global warming. Ummm Hmmm, but less and less every day.

November 28, 2009: Ok. Let me get this straight. Tiger Woods' wife hears her husband crash his (semi-sized) Cadillac Escalade; runs to the closet and pulls out a three wood; runs outside; smashes the car window; hauls ole Tiger out (through the broken window, one presumes); and when cops arrive they encounter an incoherent but conscience Tiger Woods. Then police conclude: "There didn't appear to be any alcohol involved."

Thanks for clearing that up.

November 26, 2009:  "Blond Babe and Plain Husband Salahi Crash Whitefouse Party." Pundits call for prosecutions. Lighten up. I think it's funny, and a good learning experience for our Security Forces. May I suggest that we put the Secret Service back into the Department of the Treasury, and get it out of Homeland Security?

November 21, 2009: The Senate works late into the night to get a cloture vote so that the Senate can begin debate on Harry Reid's Healthkill vote. The holdup? Some "moderate" Dems ("conservative" FOXNEWS called Ben Nelson), such as Blanche Lincoln and Mary Landreiu, objected to the funding of abortion in the bill, and claim they will not vote for a final bill that provides any public funding for abortion.

Reality check. It doesn't matter. Abortion funding will be left out of the final bill; the bill will pass with nary a Republican vote, and Blanche Lincoln will be unemployed. In short order another bill will come up to allow funding for abortions. Some Republicans who voted against the now-passed Healthcare Bill on general principles, but believe in abortion rights, will simply vote FOR the new abortion provision.

November 16, 2009: President Obama bows from the waist before Japan's Emperor Akihito - and newspapers write editorials e.g.: "Obama's bow a show of respect." Ft. Myers News-Depressed, Nov 17.

How is it that the President, The State Department, our Ambassador to Japan, and the editorial department of the News- Press don't know what EVERY eight-year-old Japanese knows about Japanese culture and customs? To wit: while a slight bow is the customary greeting in Japan, a deep bow at the waist is a clear recognition that the one to whom the bow is addressed is a superior person: such as an assembly-line worker bowing deeply to the President of Toyota.

November 12, 2009: Full Page(3) story even in the New York Times -  "Hacked E-Mails Reveal Phony Data on Global Warming." (Hacked by the Russians of all people) It seems that many global warming "researchers" have been cribbing their scientific research data to support the political end that global warming exists and man is causing it. The honesty and integrity of Scientific Research,  is the very foundation upon of the public trust. It is public trust upon which funding is made available.

It appears that global warming data, upon which billions of American taxpayers dollars are projected to be spent has become comprised, leaving one to wonder where have the reporters and scientific journals been while all of this fudging has been going on?

The real victims of these lying pricks are you and me. We could have spent the (estimated 50) billions we already exhausted on "Global Warming" cleaning up the air, land, and waters that even a Harvard researcher knows is polluted.

I'll bet you a dinner that the Scientific Community, Liberal Politicians, and Establishment Media try to cover this up.

November 6, 2009: When I entered the U. S. Army at Fort Hood, during the Vietnam War, the first thing a Major (define irony) told our collective gathering of raw, worthless, dirtbag, recruits was "You may have had an opinion about the Vietnam War in civilian life, but you have NO opinion about Vietnam while you are in the Army." "In other words, we can die for our country, but we have no First or Fourteenth Amendment rights," I inquired (foolishly). "That's affirmative, troop," replied he. And that was that (I guess he wasn't political).

Which brings me to present day Ft. Hood. How is it that Major Hasan can get up before a group of officers and essentially spew treasonous statements and have no one call him on it?

Political correctness will be the death of us all.

November 5, 2009

Boo hoo.  In a discussion between Neil Cavuto, Fox News Business guru, and gadfly talk host, Bill O’Reilly, about the “pay czar’s” denying of bonuses to executives of companies who took a handout from us taxpayers, the following came out:

O’Reilly supported Cesar. Why should the American taxpayer fork out their money to big shots running failing companies, when it was the incompetence of those big shots that caused the failure to in the first place?

Countered Cavuto: If these companies don’t pay large salaries and bonuses, the executives will go elsewhere. Cavuto avers, for example  that some of the best and brightest on Wall Street are getting hired by foreign banks.

Counters Candidate Sawyer:

1. Name 2

2  This is the typical assumption, urban legend, or that old “some say,“ that gets spreads with every news story about which the general public usually has little knowledge.

3. Don’t let the door hit your ample asses on the way out (I mean the executives, not Cavuto).

The majority of the American people never have owned or run a business, nor have been in a management position of a major corporation. (for what it’s worth, I’ve done both). But they have a general perception of the temperament and expertise about those that have. They “assume” that these executives became executives based on their qualifications and expertise, and many did.

Absent personal experience, most people’s positive and negative perceptions of business executives and the corporations they manage are formed for us by Hollywood movies, television shows, and the print media. We pay $10 and Hollywood tells us “greed is good” (Wall Street) etcetcetcetc.

We make mistakes every day in our normal everyday lives. However we presume that those experts who handle our 401k’s, manufacture our cars, heal us when we are sick, give us our legal advice, teach our children, are somehow immune from screwups. In that thinking, we err. Executives, Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers -  are people just like us (well, maybe not the lawyers), and we all make mistakes.

90% of all business fail. When last did you make a purchase at Montgomery Ward, Western Auto, Robert Hall? How is your new Hudson, Nash, Edsel, Desoto, or Oldsmobile running? Or Malibu Maxx SS  (you morons)? Did your surgeon clip off the wrong leg? Why hasn’t your kid learned the words to Barack Hussein Obama . . Hmmm . . .hmmmm . . . Hmmm yet? When was the last time your lawyer did anything right (other than billing you)? We are all human - we all make mistakes (see the 2008 elections for example).

Getting back to banking. Why does it take a genius to run a bank? You open a location. Customers deposit their money into your bank (am I going too fast here?). The bank pays interest on the deposits. The bank lends money out at a higher rate. The bank makes a profit. The bank stays in business.

Oh wait, that’s just too easy. We’ll hire a Wall Street guy with a Harvard MBA; a master of the universe. He’ll merge us with other banks. We’ll become a giant in the banking business. Why settle for small profits when Greed is Good? He’ll get us into derivatives, hedge funds, junk bonds. He knows a classmate who is close to ACORN. He works out at the gym with Chris Dodd and Barney Frank (ok, we need a sense of humor).

And Neil Cavuto worries that these geniuses will go to foreign banks and companies. Good riddance. Take Dodd, Frank, Obama and the rest of Congress with you.

November 4, 2009: There are 1,151 houses listed for sale in Detroit priced between $2,000 AND $10,000. When I was growing up in MIchigan, Detroit's per capita income was the highest in the USA. Now it is the lowest. Detroit has become (returned to) the "Murder Capitol of the World," and MIchigan now is a third-world country. You can thank Michigan's Liberals and Labor Unions, its crooked politicians, stoned drug-dealing lawyers, overpaid bureaucrats, racketeering Michigan State Police, corrupt judges and prosecuting attorneys.

October 31, 2009: Thank you, DeDe Scozzafava, for withdrawing from the Congressional Campaign in upstate New York. The country owes you a debt of gratitude.

November 2, 2009: Never mind.

September 7, 2009. So Attorney General Holder has decided to try the 9/11 terrorists in an American Civilian Court. Not to worry, says he: the terroists, notably the "suave" Sheik Mohammed, have no chance of beating the murder rap. After all they confessed and asked their captors to execute them for the glory of Allah.

I don't know about you, but Holder's actions give me a warm glow all over. We put them on trial; they plead guilty, we sentence them to death; they hang. That 's what Holder believes, or maybe not. Try this: Mohammed & Associates get here and lawyer up under their new-found Constitutional Rights. Their ACLU lawyer asks about the confessions. Oh, we were tortured, they say (and we do admit waterboarding them).

I promise you this: When they enter their plea it will be: Not Guilty, you honor. The lawyers will successfully get the confessions thrown out along with all information received because these thugs we're "tortures" and denied a lawyer.

They will walk. Remember you heard it here first.

March 7, 2009: President declares that losing in Afghanistan is NOT an option. We'll see.

February 2, 2009: Tim Geitner needs to be approved as Secretary of the Treasury, ASAP. He's the most qualified person to see us through the financial crisis (which, of course, we inherited) This is a joke, right?
