Loaded with popups and other ads, nonetheless, once you get used to and dependent upon Lycos' "free mail" they harass you to use their :updated" pay service. How? They prevent you from logging on with some pretext that your "mail provider" (isn't that lycos ?) is unsafe - fill out a (lengthy) form, and change your passwprd, to access your mail. OOOOOOORRRRRRR. For a mere $5.95 per month, you can sign up for a mail service that works.

Lycos sucks anyway.There are plenty of free mail services out there and I am now using Mail.com.

To Whom It May Concern:

Enclosed please find two unused round-trip airfare tickets, for which we expect a prompt refund. The original tickets for yesterday, December 28, were booked through Orbitz. Your airplane had frosted wings, resulting in likely missed connections in Atlanta, so we rebooked for today. Today’s flight was booked later to avoid the icy wing problem, with a longer lay-over to compensate for any late flights - to no avail.

Of all the flights out of Ft. Myers today, your airlines (and only ONE OTHER) were the only ones with delays. - yours only three hours. Now having to cancel our Christmas with our grown children, at a two-day cost of $149.00 for (2 days) cab-fare, cat-sitting, and baggage check-in fees (and tips - for all but the cat sitter) we want a full refund. We’ll drive from now on.

I certainly hope our luggage comes back from Baltimore (as promised) tonight.

WOW. Check out the rental rates for Thrifty, booked through Cheapoair.com. Midsize $26.00 per day; upgrade to full size - $28.00 per day.

But look carfefully. There's a "Special." Chrysler 300 for $27.00 per day. I'll take it. I ordered the 300, and printed the page. It's the same as on my screen, even the pictures, but under the pics, the words Chrysler 300 have not printed. Small matter. I go back to the pre-order page and print it out (the one with Chrysler 300 on it.

We fly to scenic Detroit, and guess what ?!!

Okay I won't keep you in suspense: that rate only applies to the "Special of the Day." See right here are the pictures (of a Chrysler Van, and two other un describable smaller cars. "It does not include the Chrysler 300. Do you know how much a Chrysler 300 is." says she?

$94.00. We can give you a full size car for the price, but no Chrysler. Whereupon over my loud objections (while the other customers avert their eyes sheepishly - they're used to taking this crap, they voted for Obama or Bush).

"Go to row 2 and pick any of the Malibus you want." We search the lot for 15 minutes and see no Malibus at all - so we take a Chevrolet Impala from row 2 and drive away..

Dear Chief Fournier:

My son, John W. Sawyer IV, was the (alleged) victim of credit card fraud (allegedly) perpetrated by his roommate. Said roommate (allegedly) used John’s credit card to purchase automobile repairs, gas, and other items, and (allegedly) to pay his Comcast and phone bills.

John reported the thefts to the New Hope Police and to his bank’s fraud division, about 4 - 6 weeks ago. Two police officers took John’s statement and questioned John’s roommate. Since then, the officers have (allegedly) been investigating, but John continues to be stuck with this roommate. Also, on two occasions money has (allegedly) been taken from John’s wallet overnight. Furthermore, the roommate has (allegedly) made his car payments using (alleged) fraudulent methods, and now his BMW has been repossessed. Roomy also has (allegedly) done the same thing with his rent and now is (allegedly) two months behind.

My son works two jobs at minimum wage, and even with a small monthly stipend from us, barely scrapes by. He cannot afford (allegedly) to lose money to a roommate who has a union job and makes twice what John earns.

One would think that after this time, the police easily could ascertain the identity of a(n) (alleged) perpetrator who uses a fraudulent credit card to pay utilities undoubtedly registered in his own name. The obduracy and procrastination of your police officers in this (alleged) investigation have put my son in grave danger, for no apparent reason at all.

My son’s roommate stole his credit cards and charged items without authority. He filed a report, and you did nothing. I wrote to you (see enclosed), and was assured that your department was working on it.

My son’s roommate was questioned, and well-known in advance to your department, moved to another town. You have done nothing to apprehend or prosecute this guy, and for sure he’ll continue to do this to other victims/
